At Don Bosco show dedicated to the victims of the Holocaust – The Guide
Descriptive text here

On Saturday 20 April at 9pm, the Gli Episodi company presents Elide Giordanengo’s text “Io sono” at the Don Bosco theatre, a show created with the aim of commemorating those who were deported to be killed 80 years ago.

“It is dramatically necessary to remember that the Jewish people had to suffer prejudice and persecution that led to the Holocaust. 6 million victims who lost their identity, becoming just a number – they explain from Gli Episodi -. It is dramatically true, in light of the indifference, of our cynicism towards those who abandon their homeland due to war and hunger, in search of a better future. They don’t interest us, they annoy us. And, if we happen to feel some form of empathy, we immediately anesthetize it with the noise of everyday life. Even though we are all immersed in an unknown number of stimuli, noises, words, we are often deprived of what we really need: someone capable of listening in silence, without prejudice. ‘Remembering the Holocaust, the Shoah, saving them from oblivion’, says Liliana Segre, does not only mean paying off a historical debt towards our fellow citizens of the time, but also helping Italians today to reject the temptation of indifference towards injustices and the suffering that surrounds us.”

It is possible to book tickets by midnight of the previous day at [email protected] or purchase them at the ticket office on Fridays from 6pm to 7pm, on Saturdays from 8.15pm or during the opening hours of the hall.
