In Agrigento the activity of another car wash was suspended, after numerous previous ones, due to environmental pollution, when the illicit discharge of the water used was ascertained. The plant was seized and the owner was reported at large to the Agrigento Prosecutor’s Office for environmental crimes. In particular, as found by ARPA technicians, the waste water would have been discharged without first being subjected to the necessary treatments required by law to avoid pollution.
