Tari increases, “Bitonto in Testa”: “Enough clashes and exploitation, we need a joint session to resolve the issue”

We receive and publish from Michele Giammarelli and Nicola Vacca of the “Bitonto in Testa” movement. “Dear director, we are here to bother you to inform you of the position of Bitonto in Testa on the issue concerning the infamous ruling of the Council of State which has as its object the retroactive Tari (waste tax) increase of up to 50% of the same tax. You will also remember that we had already spoken about this story in a previous article dated 27/01 (which appeared in your newspaper), fearing the risk of electoral exploitation. We weren’t wrong. In fact, in recent days the confusion/exploitation that has been created with the right/left altercation, which contributes nothing to the solution of the problem. Bitonto in Testa, in light of the difficult solution, believes it is necessary to urge the administrators and non-administrators (of this city) to meet in a COMMON SESSION (perhaps City Council) in order to draw up a DOCUMENT to be sent to the appropriate offices, be they regional or state appropriate to seek the necessary funds so as not to economically worsen the city’s situation”.
