It begins. Fano Baseball ’94 will make their debut in group C of Serie B tomorrow and will face the same opponents they just met in a friendly: the Titano Bears 3D Print Serravalle. The first match at the “Seagulls Stadium” in Fano is scheduled for 11am, while the second will start at 3pm.
In the last days of the transfer market, Davide Ruggeri, a first baseman born in 1999 who returned to the field after the bad car accident suffered in July 2022 when he played in Serie A with New Rimini, also landed at the court of president Antonio Vallieri. One more arrow therefore in the bow of the new Venezuelan head coach Diego Torres Flores, who returned to lead Fano Baseball after eight years supported by the supervisor Rodolfo “Dodo” Furiassi and the technical collaborator Rumardo “Rumy” Rodriguez. The objective of the Fano team, who in the last two seasons have retained the category through the play-outs, is to achieve salvation as calmly as possible by making the most of the many young people on the staff thanks also to the collaboration with Junior Rimini Pirati, New Rimini and Pesaro Baseball. But here, in detail, is the 2024 Fano roster: pitchers Matteo Fabbri, Filippo Foschi, Luca Pierotti and Francesco Tarassi, catchers Gabriele Fiorani, Lucio Neri and Jacopo Tombari, infielders Manuel Balducci, Alessandro Micheli, Davide Pierotti, Riccardo Ricci, Davide Ruggeri and Mattia Leon Ruggeri and outfielders Filippo Gaudenzi, Simone Graziosi, Filippo Palazzolo and Brando Pastore. In the pre-season of Fano Baseball ’94, the triumph in the so-called Spring Cup also stands out, with a seven out of seven scored by the orange team in the second edition of this tournament promoted by the Potenza Picena Panthers with the participation of Macerata, Cupramontana, Montegranaro and Pesaro. The Seagulls also celebrated the 2010 call-up to the U15 national team of Matteo Stagioni, recruited for the Italian team on 25 April in Padua in preparation for the August trip to Colombia.
