Ragusa football aims to finish with a victory

Ragusa Calcio is preparing for the last home match of the season at the “Aldo Campo” stadium in Contrada Selvaggio, starting at 3 pm, facing Gioiese in the Serie D tournament. This will be the last chance for the Azzurri to delight their team fans on the home pitch before closing the season with an away match against Sant’Agata Militello. During the week, some players such as Cardinale and Celestre had to rest due to fever, while Manservigi, Romano and Reinero are under observation for physical problems.

Coach Giovanni Ignoffo expresses the team’s determination: “We want to end this splendid season with a high-level performance and, if possible, with a victory. Gioiese, despite being relegated, has shown that it is still competitive, as evidenced by the draw obtained against Sant’Agata. In football there are no discounts, so we must face every match with maximum concentration and determination.”

Ignoffo underlines the importance of the public’s support: “Our group gave everything on the pitch and deserves the support of the fans until the end. We haven’t always been perfect, but the commitment has been constant. We have seen growth week after week, thanks to everyone’s dedication.”

Despite the fans’ warm support against Licata in the last match, something didn’t work as expected. The fight for the playoffs is still open, but the competition is fierce. Ragusa will therefore try to end the season on a positive note, keeping alive the hope of reaching the play-offs until the end.
