The Mercato in Festa returns to Piazza del Popolo in Faenza on April 21st

For the whole day of Sunday 21 April, Piazza del Popolo in Faenza will host an extraordinary street market full of commercial offers and entertainment. Organized by the Faenza trade associations, Confesercenti and Confcommercio, with the patronage and contribution of the Municipality of Faenza, the Mercato in Festa, which is now in its third edition, will take place from 8am to 8pm.

Happy Family will entertain families with wooden and ingenious games and creative workshops in Piazza della Libertà from 10am to 6pm, while the afternoon will also be enlivened by the performance of the flag-wavers of the Red Rione.

The event is part of the initiatives and projects that aim to give greater centrality to the Faenza Market, a uniqueness of the city and its historic center that we want to promote with more strength and determination, so that both people from Faenza and beyond, frequent it and experience it more and more as a place for socializing as well as shopping.

“The street market” comments the Deputy Mayor and Councilor with responsibility for economic development Andrea Fabbri “is an integral part of the commercial offer of the historic center and the municipal administration intends to promote and enhance it, also through the financing of this initiative, which we want to become one of the fixed appointments of our spring and our winter”

For Confesercenti and Confcommercio “it is a great opportunity to experience a festive Sunday in the natural shopping center of Faenza and to spend a day that satisfies all age groups and tastes of any type of public”.

During the day you will be able to make spring purchases both on the market stalls and in the shops, in a festive atmosphere and with the convenience of the free Green-Go Bus electric shuttle which will provide an extraordinary service in the center from Piazzale Pancrazi and the Borgo Shopping Center replicating Saturday times, thanks to the availability of the Viaggi Erbaggi agency. The traditional Book Fair will also be set up in Piazza della Libertà, to enrich the offer of this interesting day.

The event is organized in collaboration with Faenza C’entro, a consortium for the promotion of commercial and artisan activities in the historic center.
