KARATE – The Reggio Calabria Club in Lombardy collects six national titles

The competitions valid for the WKAEDA (LIBERTAS) WUKF National Karate Championship were held in Castellanza”. The Reggio Calabria Club won 6 gold and 2 silver medals.

The team captain, Carlo Giuseppe Emanuele, an athlete of global interest, multiple Italian and European champion, stood out as always in his black Cadet Kata category, clearly prevailing over his opponents, silencing the arena with his elegance, strength and explosiveness, gaining a well-deserved gold medal and reconfirming yet another title of National Karate Champion.

Emanuele in the upper Junior black kata category dominated his opponents despite being older and excelled on the tatami, winning the gold medal and therefore reconfirming another National Champion title.

The athlete has strongly distinguished himself on the tatami and has and continues to leave a clear mark of his performance in the execution of the kata with rhythms at the maximum exposition of the Team Trimboli style.

Three gold medals were won by Carlo Federica, sister of Emanuele, daughter and granddaughter of the masters Santi, Margherita and Federica. The athlete competed in two categories, Children and Mini Cadet, in the Kata (Form) specialty and in the Kumite specialty (combat) Black, standing out for its elegance and at the same time speed and determination.

Despite her young age, Federica was able to excel over her opponents, thus winning 3 gold medals and three National Karate Champion titles. The style of the young athlete recalls that of her brother, the champion Emanuele and her mother Margherita, her grandfather Santi and her aunt Federica.

Gold medal in the Cadet green/blue belt category, Kumite specialty (fighting) -60 kg for Ventura Lorenzo, who was able to manage the matches with determination, fully following his coaches, the masters Santi and Federica. Lorenzo has improved a lot over these years by training with passion, humility and sacrifices; the results are clear and obvious.

Aldo Marenco wins the silver medal in the Cadet category green/blue belts Kata specialty (Form). The athlete competed in a higher age category, competing against older and more experienced athletes, but he was able to keep up and take home a well-deserved silver medal.

Aldo managed to prevail in a difficult race by managing the matches with determination and competitive spirit, managing to bring home a hard-earned silver medal.

Another silver medal, of high technical depth, for the Cadet Black Belt Men’s Kumite team composed of Domenico Arfuso, Ventura Lorenzo, Gigliotti Valentino.

The three athletes competed excellently against very strong teams who were all determined to win. The athletes with determination and above all with big hearts managed to conquer and bring home a well-deserved silver medal, narrowly missing gold.

The athlete was awarded by the President of the WKAEDA Rosario Selman as the best athlete of the competition and best youth athlete of the national team who has been representing the WKAEDA in an excellent way in recent years, always achieving enormous successes

What can I say? The whole Trimboli Team, Maestro Santi first and foremost, is proud of these great athletes who with sacrifice, perseverance and passion follow their teachers who are their second family and the Dojo is the place where they train, full of respect. There are many sacrifices but Master Santi was able to convey to his athletes a lot of passion and above all a great heart and love for karate.

Now Team Trimboli will be preparing for an international competition which will take place in Naples in June. Furthermore, Emanuele, an athlete of the WKAEDA national team, will be involved in European away games such as Poland.
