The Marche Bio Consortium goes to agroecology lessons

Pesaro.- From Montebello, in the province of Pesaro Urbino, the Marche Biological Consortium left for Pisa on Tuesday, to get to know the techniques and know-how of the Agro-Environmental Research Center “E. Leftovers.” “An interesting moment especially from a practical point of view because, after a short theoretical session, we went to the fields cultivated with organic methods to be able to address various topics together, from the agroecological approach to the management of biological systems to the potential of agroecological solutions to improve the open-field organic production, from technical solutions to improve the non-chemical management of weeds to wheat-legume associations inserted in different contexts, including agro-forestry”. As scheduled, Professor Paolo Bàrberi of the Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna of Pisa, Professor Daniele Antichi of the University of Pisa and Professor Stefano Tavoletti of the Polytechnic University of Marche, as well as numerous other researchers and collaborators, spoke. “A day absolutely to be repeated in the territory of our region in order to contextualise these agronomic solutions on the basis of the pedoclimatic characteristics of the Marche organic farms” comments Francesco Torriani, President of the Marche Biological Consortium.
