Audace wins the derby with Etra and secures second place

A courageous Etra Vancouver resisted until the 75th minute before giving in with a crash at the end in the face of the Audace’s desire to almost definitively secure that second place which allows Iannone’s boys to play the playoff matches at home, at the Manzi Chiapulin , and with two results out of three available.

It was Peschechera who opened the ball for the Audace, scoring the lead for the red and whites with which the first half ended.

In the second half Etra courageously pushed forward in search of that equalizer which was scored by Caputo in the 20th minute.

Then the Audace’s outburst was inevitable, with Etra’s wall holding up until Lazzaro Lomuscio’s goal scored a quarter of an hour from the end. The other three goals were scored by Giuliano Guacci (a brace) and Travisani, which set the final score of the First Category Barletta derby at 5-1. A score that we do not hesitate to define as not in keeping with the progress of the match and which punishes beyond measure an Etra who at this point would deserve to save himself if only for the indomitable courage with which in this final phase of the season he is facing decidedly most popular.

Of course, the objective of direct salvation for the yellow and blacks remains far from simple, even if compared to a few weeks ago it seems decidedly more within reach given that with two days to go before the end of the regular season there are as many as four teams within a single point play for that fourth-to-last place which means maintaining the category.

In this regard, the championship round scheduled for tomorrow will be decisive and will see Etra host Atletico Peschici with the concrete possibility, in case of victory, of joining them in the standings. All this while at the same time Noicattaro will host Audace Cagnano and a real play-off match will be played in Molfetta between Virtus and Real Sannicandro.

It goes without saying that a possible success for Etra could really almost mean salvation, since in the last round of the championship, when Etra will visit an Atletico Vieste now without goals, Atletico Peschici aside, all the direct competitors will be involved in comparisons that are almost prohibitive on paper such as Audace Barletta-Noicattaro, Maracanà San Severo-Virtus Molfetta, Real Sannicandro-Top Player Minervino.

And tomorrow the Top Player Minervino will be the opponent of Audace Barletta, for what will most likely be a preview of what will be the playoff semi-final in a couple of weeks at Manzi Chiapulin.

Finally, the Maracanà San Severo has achieved the mathematical certainty (at least for now) of playing in the next Promotion championship after the 2-1 success at the expense of Noicattaro on the neutral stage of Stornara.

A well-deserved success for the red and white team led on the bench by Mister Ferrara and on the pitch by a large Barletta colony made up among others of players of absolute value such as Michele Palmitessa and Gaetano Zingrillo, without forgetting the important contribution given in the first part of the season by Ruggiero De Lorenzo.

A success, that of the Maracanà San Severo, the result of a clear and unequivocal superiority demonstrated on the pitch since the first day. A superiority that only the Audace Barletta had the merit of partially questioning until the defeat in the direct clash lost at Ricciardelli, and then taking great revenge in the quarterfinals of the Puglia Cup.
