Santandrea’s personal ‘Vertical Dimension’ is underway

New appointment with art at the Galleria Comunale della Molinella in Faenza which hosts Dimensione Verticale, a personal exhibition by Liliana Santandrea. From today on display are pictorial and graphic works, the result of an expressive research centered on the industrial world typical of urban suburbs containing imposing structures with which Liliana Santandrea leads us to reflect on great social themes. “The artist – we read in the presentation of the exhibition – exhibits pictorial and graphic works, the result of an expressive research that places the industrial world at the centre. Here we find the fascinations of that habitat present in our suburbs, where imposing structures stand, apparently silent”.

On display are the large pictorial canvases, the Imperfect islands, the Journey to the North, the biconvex chimneys with their volcanic fumes, the Crogiuoli. Each painting becomes a situation, a suggestive presence, an emotional district that questions us and resizes us.

The exhibition will be inaugurated today at 5.30pm, presented by the critic Enzo Dall’Ara. It can be visited until May 5th at the following times: morning 10.30–12.30; afternoon 4–7pm; closed on Mondays and on Wednesday and Friday mornings.
