Ghiselli, what kind of days will today and tomorrow be in Ravenna and the area?
“Today will be an overall cloudy day. The morning will start with few clouds, with a progressive increase in cumulus clouds in the afternoon, with some showers.”
So it will rain: in which areas?
“A bit everywhere, there are no favorite ‘zones’ from this point of view. The rains in the afternoon and evening will not be intense.”
And what about temperatures?
“We will have slightly increasing minimums – they will be between 6 and 9° – and decreasing maximums. The latter will be between 15 and 17°, with slightly lower values in the open countryside”.
Is there a danger of frost?
“No, fortunately not.”
How and if the picture will evolve tomorrow?
“The weather will be partly cloudy, with a slight drop in minimum temperatures. Cloud cover will increase on Sunday.”

Quantifying, what are the temperatures expected tomorrow?
“We will have minimums between 3 and 5° and maximums between 14 and 16°. Examining the picture we can say that the temperatures are 4-5° lower than the averages for the period”.

“Consider that the maximum temperatures are between 18 and 20°, the minimum temperatures are between 8 and 9°”.
Was the weekend’s picture predictable?
“Yes. We were coming off almost record highs, recorded last Sunday, between 30 and 31°. Similar values hadn’t been recorded since April 2011, when there was a high of 32°”.
Will it be cold next week too?
“I would like to point out that the short-long term models have a reliability of around 60%. Having said that, the peak of the cold will be Monday and Tuesday.”
What will the big picture be?
“There will be a drastic decrease in maximum temperatures and there will be widespread rain. On the Apennine ridge – I’m talking about areas between 800 and 1000 meters – there could be light snowfalls”.
In short, winter days?
“Yes. Highs are expected between 10 and 12° and lows between 5 and 6°. There will be widespread cloud cover and no frosts are expected.”
When will we return to normality, so to speak, given this unpredictable weather?
“The models say that in about ten days we should return to normal, with typical values for the period. This means highs between 20 and 22°. However, this will not happen before seven to ten days”.
