Local elections poisoned by fake polls

Frost. In the frenzy of the electoral campaign the flow of news to be filtered triples daily, so it happens that a piece of news arriving in the editorial office, from usual and trusted sources, close to the live broadcast of a broadcast is given without passing all the necessary filters.
Unfortunately it happened with the survey on the candidates for mayor of Gela, released yesterday by our newspaper which multiple accredited sources guaranteed us to be reliable.
Unfortunately, after a second check we discovered that it wasn’t at all. The survey was not commissioned by any regional political group nor carried out byGhisleri agencytotally unrelated to the survey, as was indicated to us, but rather it was created artfully in local political circles, with references so precise that they temporarily mislead even us.
We too fell for it, despite having the right experience to understand that further verification and feedback was needed. Today, for example, another survey was released but this time we will not disclose it, because like all surveys we need to demonstrate the target, the number of interviewees, the company that carried it out, in which period and on whose behalf.
