three days of music, cinema and culture

The Apulian actor Michele Riondino brings Cinzella to Brindisi, the festival dedicated to music, cinema and culture, organized by the cultural association “AFO6” with the artistic direction of the protagonist of Giovane Montalbano and I leoni di Sicilia.

For the eighth edition, the cultural festival presents itself with a great novelty: the event arrives in the city of Brindisi, in the location of the former Montecatini warehouse with three days of great music from 15 to 17 August. It will host: Trentemoller, Vitalic, Gene Simmons Band, Wolfmother (the only Italian date for these three) and Sleaford Mods, the only date in Southern Italy + Tba.

The right combination of international music, choice of suggestive locations, warm welcome and attention towards the participants, has allowed the Cinzella Festival to conquer its audience over the years, attracting spectators from all over Italy and Europe, becoming an authentic Apulian artistic and cultural attraction hub, recognized nationally and internationally.

Precisely with a view to internationalization, the artists in the lineup have been thoughtful: on the evening of August 15th the Danish Trentemoller opens the Cinzella Festival, for his only summer date in Italy with a live performance with his band. Considered one of the key figures of electronic music of the new millennium with a path that began in the ranks of deep-house and continued through minimal, until arriving at a contamination with the most refined forms of indie. Creator of extraordinarily memorable melodies and lush soundscapes, in the last decade he has received long overdue praise to be recognized as even a producer with few rivals. Vitalic follows, with his only date in the South, one of the founding fathers of the famous French Touch (a movement of which Daft Punk, Etienne de Crecy and Justice were part), a producer who continually reinvents himself, capable of mixing techno, rock, disco , pop and punk with equal energy.

The next day Brindisi becomes the capital of rock with an unprecedented combo, exclusively for Italy: Gene Simmons Band and Wolfmother. Gene Simmons, legendary bassist and co-founder of Kiss, will revive the classics of the band formed in New York in 1973 with guitarist Paul Stanley. The Wolfmother, an Australian stoner rock band led by guitarist and founder Andrew Stockdale, will contribute to making the adrenaline rise to unsustainable levels under the former Montecatini warehouse in Brindisi. The three days of music will be closed by Sleaford Mods, a British post-punk duo. The program for the sections dedicated to cinema and literature with exceptional guests will be announced soon.
