Nine complaints for private violence and aggravated threats, a mandatory expulsion order with ban on returning to the municipality of Bolzano for the next four years (to the only convicted criminal), another seven lasting two years, the administrative seizure of nine firearms (shotguns, rifles, semi-automatic pistols and revolvers), of the related ammunition and the revocation of weapons licenses. This has concluded the investigations by the Bolzano Police Headquarters into an episode of threats between rival motorcycle gangs.
Born bastards
The story dates back to March 30th. A 45 year old Trentino biker belonging to the Born bastards, active in the Verona area, arrived in Bolzano with his 6-year-old son to visit the Fair, he was surrounded by nine people, also bikers but from the Hell’s Angels and Boosters, and threatened with retaliation if he didn’t leave immediately. Not only that: if he showed up again around Bolzano with the club symbols, or worse still, had organized events or gatherings in the province, he would have paid dearly. At that point, in order not to put himself and the child in danger, the Trentino man left the fair, followed a short distance away by the nine rival bikers in order to make sure that if he had really left the city. The same day, the 45-year-old filed a complaint.

The Flying Squad of the Police Headquarters started immediately the investigations, hearing some witnesses and viewing the cameras present at the Fair. Investigations which concluded on Thursday with the police reporting eight people to the Prosecutor’s Office for private violence and aggravated threats. These are six Italian citizens residing in the province of Bolzano (five in Laives and one in Bressanone) and two Germans from Stuttgart, all belonging to the Hell’s Angels and Booster motorcycle groups. Now we are looking for the ninth biker, an Austrian. “It was a serious episode – comments the police commissioner, Paolo Sartori -, committed in the presence of a child, which could have degenerated and caused much more tragic consequences”.
