The hotelier “De Panfilis” wins the national final of the Cooking Quiz – L’Aquila

ROCCARASO. The “De Panfilis” hotelier wins the national final of the Cooking Quiz, an educational project that combines training and entertainment in Italian hotel institutes, which is back for the eighth edition. This exciting adventure was designed to involve future professionals in the hotel sector on issues of fundamental importance such as healthy and correct nutrition, valorisation of the food and wine excellences of the area and the fight against food waste. The Roccaraso institute is bringing two classes to the Teatro Olimpico in Rome for the final of the competition on May 22nd.

A space of fundamental importance is reserved for the correct recycling of packaging mainly used in the kitchen. The National Consortia participating in the Cooking Quiz guarantee the start of packaging recycling, promoting significant savings in material and energy and positioning our country as a virtuous example on a global level. The real protagonists of the format are the students of the 4th classes of the food and wine, sales room and pastry/art-white courses. Through gamification, the competition will transfer important notions and information, and then evaluate the level of learning.

The “digital” tour involved the students of IPSEOA “De Panfilis” of Roccaraso with excellent results. Chef Lorenzo Alessio, connected from the FIC headquarters for the “food and wine” lesson, involved the children with a lesson on “Shapes and shapes of fresh pasta”; for the “Sales-Sales” address, however, connected from ALMA, the International School of Italian Cuisine, there was Ciro Fontanesi, coordinator of the ALMA Wine Academy, who held a lesson on “glasses”. Great satisfaction of the teachers for the extraordinary scores obtained by the children: the 4A ind. classes. food and wine and 4B ind. hall have advanced to the National Final.
