Consultation activity for the development strategy of the new Gal has begun

On Saturday 20 April at 11am, in the Bisceglie Approdi offices in Largo Porta Mare 9 in Bisceglie, the activity of active involvement of the local community begins in preparation for the drafting of the Local Development Strategy of the new Fisheries GAL called “GAL Terre di Mare” , which will involve the coastal territories of Barletta – Bisceglie – Giovinazzo – Margherita di Savoia – Molfetta – Trani.

The territorial consultation activities are promoted by the promoting Committee of the newly established GAL Terre di Mare, made up of all the trade organizations in the Apulian fishing sector (Federpesca, Agci Agrital, Coldiretti Puglia-Impresa Pesca, Confcooperative-FEDAGRI Pesca Puglia, Legacoop Puglia Puglia , PescAgri-CIA and UNCI Agroalimentare) and have the aim of involving local coastal communities to express their needs and present project proposals useful for the definition of the Local Development Strategy to be nominated for the Puglia Region tender.

For this purpose, a series of meetings has been planned which will involve various Municipalities and a series of communication channels and participatory tools have also been activated capable of encouraging constant interaction with the local community in order to encourage bottom-up participatory planning.

In these months, therefore, the promoting committee of the GAL Terre di Mare will develop a new Local Development Strategy around which the interventions to be activated and aimed at improving life in the coastal municipalities of the GAL Terre di Mare and the creation of new opportunities will be built socio-economic issues for the area concerned.

This listening phase therefore represents a fundamental stage of the journey but also a facilitation tool for thinking about the future development of our territory together with the local population.
