Now he has won his case, but he is not satisfied: “No one has ever apologized to me.”
A test for homosexuality
The story comes from Turin. In 2021 a chosen agent of penitentiary police he had been summoned by an inspector for an interview, but that meeting was full of strange questions. For example, his superior asked him questions about family and asked him if he was happy.
Suddenly, the question: “Are you attracted to men?”. The policeman responded in the negative, but the inspector insisted. The agent had underlined that if he had been homosexual he would have had no problem admitting it, but the insistence was continuous.

The person concerned tells the story in an interview with ‘Corriere della Sera’. The following day, the policeman reports, he was summoned by the inspector and the commander, who told him that some inmates had spoken of advances made by him.
“But that’s not the point, it was the tones and smiles they exchanged,” reports the policeman. Subsequently, therefore, the director had summoned him in the presence of a doctor: “He explains to me that I would have to undergo psychiatric interviews to understand if I was homosexual.”
The humiliations of colleagues
Once the process was over, the humiliation from his colleagues began for the policeman. His words: “They passed in front of me and nudged each other. Many have disappeared, they avoided me as if I were a plague victim.”
For this reason he found himself forced to ask for a transfer. Above all, he had turned to the TAR to ask for compensation.
How much is the compensation to the policeman?
As ‘Ansa’ reports, the TAR awarded him compensation of 10 thousand euros under the responsibility of the Ministry of Justice. However, the protagonist of the story does not say he is satisfied with this conclusion.
He explains to ‘Corriere della Sera’: “No one has ever apologized to me for humiliating and pillorying me.” Furthermore, the Osapp union would like to report the case to the Minister of Justice Carlo Nordio.
