The Institute in via Cavallotti comes alive until late in the evening with the tenth edition of the “National Night of Classical High Schools” which the “Daniele Manin” State Gymnasium High School of Cremona, an event that brings together past and present, celebrating the value of classical culture with its relevance.

The event kicked off on Friday afternoon with a greeting from the school director Maria Grazia Nolli, followed by a range of initiatives organized by teachers and students including art, literature and theatre.

Ulysses is the protagonist both with copies of Hugo Pratt’s comics, panels recently exhibited at the Archaeological Museum, and with the most significant texts inspired by the Homeric hero. Another important figure is Alfonsina Strada: the story of her social redemption was traced by the 3B classic through careful work on historical sources.

Then in the Library we pay homage to the work of Arturo Ferraroni, the plaster cast of the Belvedere Torso, donated last November to the school by the family of the Cremonese artist; another awaited moment is the show “Eros and Thanatos, Love and Death” which brings a fascinating and recurring theme to the stage, involving the students.

The High School Alumni Association also participates in the White Night.
