Imola, free practice: Ferrari smiles in the sun

Ferrari smiles after the free practice of the 6h of Imola, the second act of FIA World Endurance Championship. AF Corse’s private 499p #50 with Yifei Ye and the official car #50 of Antonio Fuoco they divide the spoils after the first three hours of activity on the banks of the Santerno.

WEC, 6h Imola free practice: Ferrari against everyone?

FP2 was the most competitive of the two planned, the Calabrian from Ferrari was the fastest ahead of Kevin Estre (Porsche Penske Motorsport #6), Robert Shwartzman (AF Corse Ferrari #83), Brendon Hartley (Toyota GR #8) , Callum Ilott (Hertz JOTA Porsche #12), Stoffel Vandoorne (Peugeot #94).

After FP1, characterized by a red flag, FP2 had no interruptions. Ferrari scares the competition on the eve of a weekend that could be characterized by the arrival of rain, a variable that many in the paddock fear.

Competitive Corvette in LMGT3

Corvette and TF Sport control the standings in LMGT3 after the first day of the 6h of Imola. Charlie Eastwood #81 and Daniel Juncadella #82 were the best on the Imola track which also saw Vista AF Corse Ferrari attack thanks to Alessio Rovera #55.

Also noteworthy in FP2 was the fourth place of Heart of Racing Aston #27, present ahead of the second Red from Vista AF Corse, the Aston #777 D’Station Racing and Iron Lynx Lamborghini #60.

Tomorrow, as expected, FP3 and the qualifying of the 6h of Imola, the second act of the World Endurance Championship which for the first time will have its own round in Emilia Romagna.
