The M5S which presents itself at the administrative elections in Forlì as an ally of the PD and organically part of the centre-left in support of Graziano Rinaldini’s candidacy for mayor, made public today the list of its 27 candidates for the City Council. In addition to the local leaders of the movement created by Beppe Grillo – Sergio Petroncini, Eros Brunelli – there were the regional coordinators of the M5S, Gabriele Lanzi and Marco Croatti.

Sergio Petroncini recalled the transformation of the movement: “We rebuilt the movement in Forlì after the abandonment of the historical leaders, doing a lot of work to bring the M5S from a movement of mere protest to a movement of proposal”. Leader Eros Brunelli added: “The M5S is ready to accept the challenge of the city government after ten years of opposition, bringing a contribution of solid, modern and progressive programmatic content”. The Five Star Movement recalled that “Forlì needs discontinuity with this centre-right administration but also with past centre-left ones, because the past choices of our allied political forces no longer work”.

Graziano Rinaldini instead summarized the main points of convergence with the former Grillini (the photo of the new leader Conte stands out in their manifesto): “We need to think of a city that pays attention to land consumption, that considers the flood a warning about the changing climate. There is a great need for urban regeneration, with dilapidated properties in the center to be recovered. On overbuilding, the current administration has had 5 years to recover, but it only knows how to blame whoever came first.”
