The education and awareness journey “The Door of Happiness, words in music to give voice to Fragility” will begin on April 23, at the IV State Educational Club “Cesare Battisti”. The students of the IISS “G. Pavoncelli”, led by teachers and assistants on autonomy and communication, by the educators of the San Francesco Center and the volunteers of the Apeis Mai Soli association, will meet the students of the primary schools of Cerignola to reflect together on the most delicate issues which involve the growth processes of both individuals and the entire community: arrogance, bullying and cyberbullying, discrimination, techno-addiction, loneliness, mafias.
By using the languages of theater and music, and sharing good inclusive school practices, the aim is to increase the awareness of the little ones regarding the effects of negative attitudes and abusive behaviors. At the end of each event, participants will be invited to share the commitment “Never again” – never again will I offend, never again will I exclude, never again will I isolate, never again will I trample on the dreams and dignity of the most fragile – and to commit, as ” knights of the Door of Happiness”, to take care of the victims. The “La Porta della Felicità” project is inspired by the tragic story of Marco Ferrazzano, the young man from Foggia who took his own life due to the constant harassment and violence he suffered at the hands of a group of bullies. The initiative is sponsored by the municipal departments for educational policies, welfare and equal opportunities.
