Clean Up Hike: four appointments in Italy for the largest European trail cleaning initiative

Clean the paths together with volunteers who are doing the same thing on the same days throughout Europe. This is the meaning of Clean Up Hikethe widespread event that in the next few days will bring thousands of mountain goers (and not only) on some selected routes where they will recover every kind of waste found along the way.

The event certainly has a promotional purpose but the practical results are of great importance.

According to what was communicated by The North Face – which also promotes and supports the event this year – In the 2023 this and other similar initiatives have led to the cleanup of over 6,500 km of trails throughout Europe. And for 2024 the objectives are even more ambitious. Everyone can participate and get to work alongside the athletes and TNF ambassadors involved. Four appointments are scheduled in Italy.

April 20th the Clean Up Hike will have as its destination the Along the Po of Turin: starting from the old municipal zoo, you will enter the heart of the city along the flat path of the Lungo Po, easy and also suitable for families and children! We will continue in the direction of Sassi until we reach the Mesino Park and then return from the Colletta Park.

Sunday 21st you go in Valle d’Aosta where we will get to work along the Ru Neuf of Gignodin the Gran San Bernardo Valley, partly following the route of the Via Francigena with a view of the Grand Combin.

Saturday 27 April it will be the turn of cortina d’Ampezzofor an event reserved for members of The North Face Fidelity Program XPLR Pass. Participants will be accompanied by the Sestieri d’Ampezzo and will distribute themselves among woods and paths around the 6 areas into which Cortina d’Ampezzo is divided.

Always the April 27 we will also meet again He entered the water (CN) where, accompanied by environmental hiking guides, researchers and experts in mountain sports activities, you will travel through areas of notable value such as the Gorge della Reina gorge and the splendid coniferous forest of Colletto della Lausa.
