Caffè Grande, there’s a hunt for managers

The tender for the Caffè Grande concession has been published, historic venue in Piazza Risorgimento, closed a few months ago.

It will be possible to apply for the bar-café activity and, as specified in the announcement “The concessionaire is responsible for implementation within one year from the date of signature of the concession contract of new toilets suitable in number and size for the catering business. As soon as the new services are completed, the premises currently used for this purpose will return to the availability of the municipal administration”.

The premises are linked to the Superintendence for all interventionsbut the Municipality provides that they are not compatible with “betting services and/or activities that involve the installation of slots, electronic games, video games or in any case devices aimed at gaming with cash winnings or of any kind”.

The concession of the premises will have a duration of twelve years, including the period of time necessary for the design and execution of the works.

The tender fee for the concession of the service is equal to 9 thousand 600 euros for the first contractual year, up to 19 thousand 200 euros per year starting from the fourth.

The notice with all the attachments is published on the website of the municipality of Lendinara, which must be completed and sent regularly by the deadline of May 15th. For just two years, the Caffè Grande had reopened after a long period of closure, particularly involving a large youth audience during the evening music events. The success achieved in recent years gives rise to hope that someone might consider taking over the place. . “The reopening of a historic venue is important – said the mayor – but we don’t want to create inequalities with all the other venues in the city that continue to work with their management costs.

The concession must also be competitive for the market while respecting the other activities that are open in the square. It wasn’t right that, as some suggested, we gave the premises free use, it wouldn’t have been right for the other workers in the sector.” The previous tender had been awarded on the third attempt, we hope that this time the Caffè Grande will open in less time .
