After a chase through the streets of the centre, last Wednesday afternoon (17 April) the police captured a 31-year-old Kosovar man in Via Cimarosa who he had to serve over 6 and a half years in prison.
The man was found around 3.30pm, come on Hawks of the flying squad in the San Jacopino area on board their SUV. Once stopped by investigators, he fled through the streets of the neighborhood.
After a tense chase, during which the 31-year-old he also violated several rules of the highway codetaking, among other things, via Galliano in the wrong direction, the fugitive – finding another car in front of him – was forced to abandon his vehicle to continue the escape on foot.
However, his race ended in via Cimarosa, where the story seemed to have ended. But, at this point, the man started hitting the policemen with violent pushes. And in the meantime some relatives also appeared and tried to prevent the arrest.
Once the situation was brought back to calm also thanks to the intervention of one of the police officers in Via Zara, the man he was reported for resisting and injuring a public official, as well as sanctioned for violations of the highway code. Two policemen ended up in hospital with minor injuries. The man was then taken to Sollicciano.
