“Run4Hope” stopped in the city

A race in which solidarity wins. Now in its fourth edition this year, the “Run4Hope” is currently taking place throughout Italy, a charity running relay that brings together thousands of runners throughout Italy.

All participants are united by a solidarity objective, that of raising funds to support the AIL.

On Wednesday 17 April, the Run4Hope 2024 baton stopped in Barletta, delivered by the runners of the ASD Margherita di Savoia Runners on the Pietro Mennea seafront. In the afternoon, near the Cathedral of Barletta, it was the turn of the athletes of the ASD Barletta Sportiva to bring the message of hope, solidarity and joy for the race to the Cathedral of Trani, welcomed by the ASD Trani Marathon.

The departure was particularly evocative and exciting, with the presence of a group of soldiers from the 82nd Turin Infantry Regiment of Barletta – always available to participate in these solidarity activities, supporting them with commitment – in particular with Brigadier General Paolo Sandri, who he personally received the baton handed over to him by the lawyer Carmela Peschechera, Vice President of AIL BAT, in the presence of the sports councilor Marcello Degennaro and of vehicles and men of the Carabinieri.

«I thank all those who joined, participated and supported the Barletta stage of this great national event: the fundraising is still open with a small voluntary contribution – said Enzo Cascella, president of Barletta Sport –because doing good is good for others and above all it is good for oneself.”
