A journey through time to discover the Modena of the past and that of today is the theme of the theatrical guided tour at the Nuovo Diurno in Piazza Mazzini “Everyone passes through here, even Garibaldi. Maybe” scheduled for Sunday 21 April, in two sessions at 3.30 pm and 5.30 pm. Participation is free, for a maximum of 25 people. To participate it is necessary to book through the visitmodena.it website (www.visitmodena.it/it/esperienze/esperienze-artecultura/visite-teatralizzate-con-attori) or at the Tourist Information and Reception Office in Piazza Grande 14 (tel. 059 203 2660).

Between historical reconstructions and curious anecdotes, participants will be able to immerse themselves in the evocative atmosphere of the Nuovo Diurno, a place that has marked the daily life of Modenese and travelers for decades. Leading the visit, bringing to life scenes of daily life in what was once the day hotel, will be the actors Loredana Averci, Beatrice Cevolani, Marco Rebecchi and Hendry Proni who will recreate the lively and frenetic atmosphere that characterized this place of stop and meeting, today an important part of the city’s memory. Together with them, a guide will tell the historical evolution of the building, inaugurated in 1933 as a public place that offered modern and comfortable hygiene and personal care services accessible to all, and today it has become a space designed for tourists and citizens intended for temporary exhibitions, events and conferences.

On the visitmodena.it website it is possible to view the entire annual calendar and book for the free thematic visits organized at the Nuovo Diurno by the Ars/Archeosistemi Cooperative together with the City Promotion and Tourism service of the Municipality of Modena.
