Tomorrow, April 20, marks the last match of the regular season for the top women’s Serie A1 championship, with Ragusa playing on the Battipaglia pitch starting at 8.30pm. This will be an opportunity for the team to conclude the regular season with a good performance, thus preparing itself as best as possible for the playoffs which will begin next Wednesday.
Despite the certainty of sixth place, the objective remains to play a solid match, which can provide a further motivational boost in view of the playoffs. Coach Lino Lardo recognizes the difficulties caused by the absences, but remains confident in the group and in the team’s desire to win.
The match against Battipaglia will be a good test to evaluate the level of preparation of the team in view of the post season. The championship quarter-final clashes will begin on Wednesday 24 April, with the first match away, followed by game 2 at Palaminardi on Sunday 28 April. Possibly, a third match would be played away again on May 1st.
