Two men were arrested by the Flying Section of the Sassari Police Headquarters for aggravated theft after having entered a house in the Sant’Orsola district with the aim of stealing.
It was a resident of the area who noticed the criminals during the night between Wednesday and Thursday and called the police. Officers arrived on the scene and quickly tracked down the two men, who were trying to escape on two bicycles.
The two, already known to the police, were unable to explain their presence in that area and above all the numerous tools and work objects they carried with them inside some rigid bags. They were taken to the police station and subjected to a search. It is at this point that the officers found burglary tools, used to force the front door of the house.
Not only that, the Police ascertained that the bikes with which the two men attempted to escape had also been stolen. Once arrested, the two were locked up in the security rooms of the Police Headquarters, awaiting validation.
