The Carabinieri of the Policoro Company have a 36-year-old from the province of Matera was arrestedfor having put it into place oppressive and harassing attitudes towards the ex-partnerdespite having reported already a conviction for similar facts.
In particular, man, with reiterated stalking her on foot and by car, appearing both at her home and at her workplace, he intimidated the woman, finally miming the gesture of holding a gun with his hand as if to indicate that he would kill her.
Following the request for help from the woman on “112”, the Carabinieri, who promptly arrived on site and acquired the necessary information, searched for the man.
Tracked down shortly after and taken to the barracksfollowing the investigative investigations also thanks to the images produced by the victim using his mobile phone, they arrested him, and at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor on duty at the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Matera, he was taken to the Matera prison.
The arrest was subsequently validated by the GIP of the Court of Matera who, due to the seriousness of the facts and the dangerousness of the subject, applied to the man the continuation of precautionary custody in prison.
It should be noted that the investigations carried out so far are still in the preliminary investigation phase and require subsequent procedural verification in the cross-examination with the defence.
