The Carabinieri of the Catanzaro Company, during territorial control services, strengthened on the occasion of the holidays of 25 April and 1 May, arrested two people, respectively for possession of narcotic substances for the purpose of dealing and for evasion
In the first case, the Carabinieri of the Squillace station arrested a 62-year-old from Catanzaro because, checked by the operating military and subjected to a search, he was found in possession of approximately 70 grams of narcotic substance of the Marijuana type.
In the second case, however, soldiers from the Carabinieri Station of Catanzaro-Bellamena, during a patrol service in the city center of this capital, surprised a 26-year-old of foreign origins on a public street, despite him being subjected to the precautionary measure of house arrest.
In the capital, however, the Carabinieri of the Catanzaro-Main Station carried out an inspection at some public businesses in the historic center, with the help of specialized personnel from the NAS, detecting on one occasion the failure to comply with health and hygiene standards.
Furthermore, in the context of territorial control services, in particular road traffic, the following have been reported to the competent authority:
- two people arrested in possession of quantities of narcotic substances for personal use;
- two people, stopped driving vehicles without a valid insurance policy;
- five people who tested positive in the breath test while driving vehicles with a blood alcohol level higher than the current legislation;
- two people were reported as one was driving a vehicle without a license, while the other was found in possession of a flashing light, similar to the one used by the police, without any authorization;
a total of 6 people had their licenses revoked and 3 vehicles were seized.
