“Cities in notes. The music of places” will transform Cuneo into a large concert hall for six days

«Cities in notes. The music of places” will transform Cuneo for six days into a large concert hall to welcome the cultural project of the Artea Foundation from 22 to 27 May for the fourth edition. Thirty events with national and international artists and excellent local artists will be the protagonists of the festival which was presented today in the Hall of Honor of the municipality that is the initiative’s partner. The director of Artea, Davide De Luca, recalled that this project was created to make music interact with the identity of a territory that has so much to tell.

The Councilor for Culture, Cristina Clerico, underlined that Artea has best captured the Municipality’s idea of ​​expanding culture by giving value to the city’s assets, in closed spaces and also in green areas, to explore them through different musical genres. From today the program, curated by Claudio Carboni and Carlo Maver, artistic directors since the first edition, is published on the Artea website. «Each place will host an original event designed expressly for that space – said Carboni – starting from the Toselli theater which will host three concerts in a collected form: Noemi in solo, which will open the festival on the evening of May 22nd, after the last talk by Youth Factor, the training program aimed at young people, which this year is dedicated to ”Music and image”, will follow Nada as a duo and will close the Boriso-Glebsky, Tchaidze, Rummukainen trio, composed of young performers of the highest quality” .

In San Francesco, music will weave a dialogue with medieval architecture, starting with the electronic music performance starring Andrew Queen with the Mets, the electronic music department and sound technicians of the Ghedini Conservatory. The president of the conservatory, Mattia Sismonda, recalled that among other performances, the «Ghedini» will face a great commitment: it will perform Carmina Burana at the Palazzetto dello Sport, on May 27, on the occasion of the ninetieth anniversary of Carlo Orff’s famous opera .

With the new collaboration of Orticola Piemonte, concerts in green spaces will multiply, in the name of the combination of plant nature and man. Courtyards, squares, the central Via Roma, the baroque church of Santa Croc3e, the river park, will resonate with notes, from jazz to contemporary, from pop to classical.
