“Belle Ciao 2024”, the National Assembly of CGIL women, will be held next Monday, April 22nd, starting at 9.30 am, in Florence, at the Teatro Cartiere Carrara (lungarno Aldo Moro, 3).
The title chosen for this edition is “A timeless struggle”, since this year marks the 70th anniversary of the first national conference of working women which took place in the Tuscan capital, and which gave birth to the Charter of Workers’ Rights to claim equal pay, access to all professions and protection of maternity.
The event will be introduced by the confederal secretary of the CGIL, Lara Ghiglione. The debate will be divided into three panels: the first entitled ‘Achievements made and to be made to prevent and combat harassment and violence’, in which, among others, the confederal secretary of the CGIL Francesca Re David will intervene; in the next panel, ‘Achievements made and to be made for health, self-determination and equal culture’, the confederal secretariat of the CGIL Daniela Barbaresi will speak; ‘Achievements made and to be made at work’ will be the title of the third and final panel which will see the participation of the confederal secretary Lara Ghiglione. Trade union leaders from all categories of the Confederation will participate in the various debates, giving their contribution to the discussion.
The event will end with the general secretary of the CGIL Maurizio Landini, who will be interviewed by Azzurra Giorgi, journalist from ‘la Repubblica’.
