Manfredonia. The young man from Manfredonia, TLP, arrested yesterday by has no criminal record, complaints but no convictions Carabinieri after a high-voltage chase.
The facts. From StatoQuotidiano.it data collection, it was around 7.30pm on 17 April 2024 when the authorities were alerted to the presence of a person behind the wheel of a Lancia Y, without having a driving licence. The Carabinieri immediately implemented a pursuit operation to stop the offender and preserve the safety of citizens.
The chase reached its climax on via Tribuna, at the intersection with via Stella, where the young man was finally stopped by the police. However, the arrest was not without resistance: the young man reportedly resisted before being detained and taken into custody.
In addition to repeated driving without a licence, it emerged that the vehicle was not insured, further aggravating the young man’s situation.
Following the arrest, the officers of the local Flying Squad Commissariat intervened at the accident site to coordinate the vehicle removal operations. The tow truck was called to remove the Lancia Y, marking the end of the episode and the beginning of the legal procedures.
Waiting for the immediate trial at the Court of Foggia, scheduled for tomorrow at 9.30. The young man is defended by the lawyer Francesco Le Noci of the Forum of Foggia.
