Obtaining a passport will now be a little easier, even for hospitalized patients and their caregivers. A possibility offered thanks to the new release service activated, starting this morning, at the fixed police station of the “Bonomo” in Andria, inaugurated last January 26th.
In practice, in the offices there will be a station dedicated to those who want to request or renew a passport, and are hospitalized in the health facility, or are a family member of the patient, and are unable to go to the police station.
An initiative that takes a further step towards the needs of citizens, after those already implemented in recent weeks, such as the increase in stations for acquiring paperwork and opening hours of the Passport Office, the creation of a priority agenda for emergencies and extraordinary openings also during the Easter holidays and on some Sundays.
The objective is to favor those who belong to the so-called “vulnerable groups” of the population, such as patients, and it is not excluded that, in the short term, similar initiatives could also be implemented for other fragile situations. Furthermore, the next step will be to extend the service to healthcare workers who work in the wards.
