With an iron bar almost one meter long he repeatedly hit the windscreen and bodywork of a black Mercedes, used for the NCC service (rental with driver) and owned by a company from Maslianico. Then he sat on the pavement, with the iron bar on the ground, next to him and so he was found by the police officers.
The episode occurred on Wednesday evening, April 17, in via Ballarini in Como near the Duomo: two police cars arrived on the scene following a report made by a witness to the affair which involved a 23-year-old young man, with police records for property crimes and homelessness. The 23-year-old was arrested for damage and possession of objects capable of offending: the police in fact found him at the scene of the crime, near both the damaged Mercedes and the bar used.
The officers collected the statements of the witnesses and followed up the complaint from the owner of the car. The 23-year-old was held at the police station until his immediate trial, scheduled for 11am on Thursday morning.
