Livorno3x3 is back: basketball, music and food at the Oltremare sports village

Livorno3x3the prestigious 3×3 basketball tournament, returns for its 4th edition to animate the spaces of Oltremare sports village from 3 June to 13 July, with the patronage of the Municipality of Livorno. Three dates for each category – both male and female -, from the eaglets (2014) to the under 18s -, and 2 evenings dedicated to the open (14 and 15 June), with a rich prize pool of 500 euros. From each evening aimed at young people, a winning team will emerge which will have the opportunity to challenge the other two in the finals on Saturday 13 July. “Our sports association – explains the coordinator of Livorno3x3

Raffaele Fiore -, born in 2018, has always had the goal of bringing young people together thanks to 3×3 basketball. We started with a tournament made up of just a few teams, then over the years we grew a lot until last year in which we registered 110 teams. A real record.” After a brief greeting from the mayor Luca Salvetti who spoke at the presentation press conference, the floor goes to the general secretary of the National Basketball League and president of the Italian Basketball Federation of Tuscany Massimo Faraoni. “A project that is growing month by month – she says – for the benefit of

federation and the whole city, capable of also being activated by sports tourism. 3×3 has become an Olympic discipline and is a sport in which we invest a lot.” New for 2024, the shirts dedicated to nations around the world for the 2024 Paris Olympics, with customizable numbers. Inside the village it will be possible to dine with a large variety of sandwiches and there will be a bar, a DJ set and a merchandising stand. The evening of June 15th will be enriched by the presence of dancers from the Nuova Era school engaged in a hip hop and salsa contest with performances between the various matches.
