The summer program of “Music Facts 2024”, the Festival-Award of the Author’s Live, now in its 38th edition, conceived and directed by Ruggero Pegnawhich takes place in various locations in the Calabria and reward with the Silver Hedgehog of the master goldsmith Gerardo Sacco some of the most beautiful and anticipated live shows of the year. The prestigious festival, which over the years has presented all the main musical events and some of the most popular stars of world music, from Sting to Elton John, from Santana to Tina Turner, with its original format presents live performances throughout the year, in three sessions, winter and summer, touching some of the main tourist cities in the region.

To authentic events already announced, such as the historic live performance of Nick Mason of the Pink Floyd with a super band of all stars on July 24th at the Teatro Al Castello in Roccella Jonica and the live performance of Irama of August 3rd in the splendid Piazza del Castello Aragonese of Reggio Calabria, is added now the overwhelming live performance of Gabry Ponte on August 9th at 10pm always in Piazza Castello in Reggio.

Piazza Castello will be transformed into a large disco under the stars, with special effects and memorable hits that have made the history of dance, much of which was signed by Gabry Ponte himself, both as a soloist and with his Eiffel65!”.

Gabry Ponte he officially began his career in 1998 with “Blue (da ba dee)”, his debut single with Eiffel 65, which climbed the world charts and sold over 8 million copies. The first album “Europop” follows which sells another 4 million. In 2000 the artist won the European Music Awards as “Best Italian Artist in the world“. Her solo career took off immediately, conquering the European charts. In 2014 he entered the Top 100 DJs ranking and will remain the Italian artist with the highest ranking ever in this ranking. In summer 2019 he co-produced the European hit “Monster” (270 million streams on Spotify) together with the young Austrian producer LUM X! With over 378 million streams on Spotify alone and over 150 million views on Youtube, his latest single “Thunder” is climbing the charts in Italy, Europe, the United States and has also reached some Asian countries. Not only that, it is already platinum in Italy and in numerous European countries and is also in the Billboard TOP200 of 2021, a prestigious milestone that Gabry Ponte had already achieved in 2000 with “Blue (Da Ba Dee)” together with Eiffel65.

In 2022, David Guetta’s “I’m Good (Blue)” was released, earning a Grammy nomination, making “Blue” the first song in history to receive two Grammy nominations for Best Dance/Electronic Recording.
