Reggio Calabria, ASP conference at the Mediterranean University

Will be held Saturday 20 April 2024, in the Quaroni Aula Magna of the Faculty of Architecture ofMediterranean University of Reggio Calabria, the scientific conference entitled “Controversial clinical cases: the clinic meets the territory”, organized by the ASP of Reggio Calabria directed by Dr. Lucia Di Furia. A conference which marks the resumption of training activities by the provincial health company of Reggio Calabria, after the stop imposed by the pandemic period.

This is a positive and important point since training takes on a central role both in terms of enhancing human capital and promoting innovation. The aim is to offer the professional community training courses capable of satisfying needs in a way compatible with the contexts and work objectives and in coherence with the needs for change and improvement in the quality of care.

The protagonists

A day of training of the highest level – whose representatives responsible for the conference are Dr. Antonino Putortì, general pediatrician and Dr. Giovanni Calogero, Head of ASP training of Reggio Calabria – which will see the participation of important speakers at national level, such as the prof. Francesco De Luca, Pediatric Cardiologist, Prof. Mariella Valenzise, ​​Professor of Paediatrics University of Messina, Dr. Domenico Minasi, Director of the UOC Pediatrics GOM Reggio Calabria, Dr. Isabella Mondello, Acting Director of the UOC NICU, Nursery and Neonatology, Dr. Maria Rosa Calafiore, Director of the UOC Pediatrics “SM degli Ungheresi” Hospital in Polistena, Dr. Antonio Musolino, Director of the UOC Pediatrics Hospital of Locri and many other valid professionals who will draw the participants’ attention to the pathologies of greatest interest in pediatric age whose phenomenology is changing over the years and whose clinical signs should not be underestimated during periodic checks by moment that they are fundamental to start a correct diagnostic-therapeutic process. During this important training day, pediatric cases of particular clinical interest found in the area and treated in second level care centers will be brought to the attention of the audience.

A conference with important contents with the precious contribution of young Calabrian doctors who are completing their training, brilliantly, in the north with the hope that they can become future professional excellence in their homeland.
