A conference entitled: “Risk of infiltration of organized crime in Trentino: counteractions” will be held on Thursday 18 April at 5pm in the Sala Depero of the Palace of the Autonomous Province of Trento.
Speeches are expected from the President of the Council of the Autonomous Province of Trento, the Government Commissioner for the Province of Trento, Prefect Filippo Santarelli, the President of the Council of Local Authorities, the Prosecutor of the Republic of Trento, Sandro Raimondi and the President of the Province autonomous of Trento.

Attempts to infiltrate organized crime in one area – in particular Trentino – will be the subject of discussion sensitivedue to its strategic geographical position (which makes it the focal point for the transit of goods and people to and from Central Europe) and its lively economic fabric open to investments in agriculture and services.
This is demonstrated by the recent administrative and judicial events (so-called “Perfido 1 and 2” investigations) which affected the Municipality of Lona Lases and ended with convictions for mafia association for a total of 76 years in prison.
In the fight against this insidious and elusive phenomenon, the“Permanent observatory on the risks of infiltration by organized crime”: a “network” between public institutions and private associations, in which to put a common factor all the information acquired – each in its own context – through careful and periodic monitoring activities.
