Amazing drug discovered following checks with dog units
Drugs and other unauthorized objects were found yesterday in the Corigliano Rossano prison following police activity carried out with the help of canine units of the Penitentiary Police.
The news was given by Giovanni Battista Durante, deputy general secretary and Francesco Ciccone, regional secretary of Sappe.
“In particular – Durante and Ciccone say – various types of narcotic substances were found: a stick of smoke and another substance, most likely cocaine.
In addition to the narcotic, other objects were also found whose presence inside the cells is not permitted, as often happens in the city penitentiary and in other institutions in our country. If on the one hand – they argue – we must congratulate the staff who once again operated with professionalism and a spirit of sacrifice, on the other we do not understand why adequate measures are not taken to restore safety and legality”.
