The Ravenna Football Club doesn’t agree and announces that it will leave no stone unturned against the decision that moves it two points away from leaders Carpi due to the exclusion of Pistoiese from the championship. «The Ravenna Football Club 1913 company is forced to acknowledge, with enormous bitterness, that once again sporting merit has been trampled upon», we read in a note released today, «indeed canceled by scandalous behavior that has nothing to do with justice and loyalty.”
«It is difficult», continues the note, «to have to deal with legislation that is incomplete and totally insufficient to deal with the senseless management of sports clubs that operate without the slightest respect for the sacrifices of others; very simply, it would have been enough to stop Pistoiese at the end of the first round when all those involved were aware of the real situation. At the expense of a team, Ravenna FC 1913, a fan base and a city that played, fought and rejoiced in full compliance with the rules, without however being able to try to crown a journey that deserved completely different consideration. Having taken note of the surreal situation that has arisen, the club, thanks to the extraordinary ability of its staff and its players already expressed on the pitch, will leave no stone unturned, while at the same time reserving every possible action aimed at protecting its interests with the competent bodies.” .
