Perugia, 22-year-old Albanian arrested with drugs and a machete

The young man has numerous police records

Perugia, 16 April 2024 – The personnel of the State Police of Perugia, following a call to the Single European Emergency Number, intervened near a house in the capital where they arrested a 22-year-old – Albanian citizen, burdened with numerous police records – for the crime of possession for the purpose of dealing drugs and unjustified possession of objects capable of offending.

It was a citizen who, noticing the young man inside his property, fearing a theft was about to take place, asked for the intervention of the State Police.

The officers, who arrived on site, identified the man who immediately showed impatience with the control. Subjected to a search, the 22-year-old was found in possession – inside a backpack – of a 50 centimeter machete, two sticks of hashish-type narcotic weighing 126 g, 6 tablets of opiate-type narcotic, two cellophane wrappers heat-sealed containing narcotic substance such as cocaine, 7 paper wrappers containing 6 gr. of ketamine and 250 euros in cash, probably proceeds from the drug dealing activity.

The search, which also extended to the house, also allowed the discovery of a metal knuckle duster of which the young man was unable to justify his possession.

Accompanied to the police station for the ritual activities, the 22-year-old – who had an aggressive attitude during the journey – was arrested for the crime of possession for the purpose of dealing drugs and unjustified possession of objects capable of offending; He was also investigated while at liberty for the crime of invasion of land and buildings.

Once the provision was validated, the GIP adopted the precautionary measure against him of the obligation to report to the Judicial Police.
