Palermo – Thousands of jobs on Webuild construction sites which will also employ staff trained through a project launched in collaboration with the Sicilian Region.
At Palazzo d’Orléans the president of the Region, the CEO of the company and the president of RFI took stock of the progress of the construction sites on the island and the activities that revolve around the infrastructure investment plan.
The governor recalled the mutual collaboration in terms of training young people and said he was convinced that the times set out in the spending timetable of the Pnrr funds will be respected. There are a total of eight projects entrusted to Webuild by RFI and Anas, the FS group, and among these there are those which concern the Palermo-Catania-Messina route and the Ragusa-Catania motorway.
There are 7 thousand jobs planned and 1,700 people are currently already employed on the construction sites. As regards the Sicilian railway network, RFI has estimated the investments already financed at 17.6 billion euros.
