After last year’s success, the Sicily Beach Volley School is also proposing the Sicily Beach Volley Summer Camp for next summer. Four days on the Tyrrhenian coast to discover the beauty of the area and above all to learn some secrets about volleyball from four internationally renowned volleyball champions. The quartet of super guests will be led by the expert coach Romano Giannini, also present last year, second coach of Cucine Lube Civitanova and a great friend of the Sicilian club.
At the volleyball sessions, at the PalaCampagna in Saponara, and at the same time at the beach volleyball sessions, at the Centro Sicily in Villafranca Tirrena in the first two days of Wednesday and Thursday there will be no shortage of activities to get to know the area and this year the novelty is the excursion on the island of Lipari scheduled for Friday. On the last day, Saturday, there will be a tournament among the Camp participants to put what they have learned to good use. On the opening day there will also be a presentation press conference to get to know each other and later an evening of dancing at a famous local venue to bond further.
The super guests of the Camp
Romano Giannini returns to Sicily after last year’s experience. Coach with more than 20 years of experience in Serie B and Serie A behind him. During his career several promotions and Italian Cups in Serie B. A successful curriculum enriched in recent years, from the role as assistant to “Chicco” Blengini to Cucine Lube Civitanova, with which he won the championship.
Enrico Diamantini, 204 cm central defender with a very respectable list of achievements. In Civitanova in particular he won everything he could: championship, Italian Cup, Champions League and Club World Cup. A precocious talent who had already exploded in the youth sectors in 2015 he was among the protagonists of the promotion of Potenza Picena from A2 to the Super League and he was in the national team.

Davide Saitta, Catania-born setter currently registered with Cisterna in the top league. He won a French championship in his spell in Paris 2015-2016. In the under national teams he won the prizes as best setter and in the senior national team, with his first call-ups starting in 2008, he won gold at the Mediterranean Games in 2009 and silver at the European championship in 2013.
Serena Ortolani, opposite this year registered with Adolfo Consolini in Serie A2. In the past several seasons in the top flight where you won four championships and two Italian Cups. At an international level, three Champions Leagues and with the national team jersey, worn from 2004 to 2018 of which she was also captain, two gold medals in the European championship, a silver in the world championship and a World Cup in 2007. The Sicily Beach Volley School company will allow anyone interested, athletes and parents, to enjoy all four days of activity with the Full Camp formula which also precedes hotel accommodation (the same Full Day formula is provided for parents, because clearly they will not train but will be able to enjoy the holiday). There is also the possibility of participating only in the activities, Day Camp for local boys and girls and therefore the possibility of training, having lunch with the group and going on the excursion but without taking advantage of hotel accommodation. Finally, there is the possibility of participating in just one day of the One Day camp over the three days; in fact, this formula excludes the Lipari excursion which can instead be experienced independently of the Camp with the Excursion package which includes the transfer by ship plus lunch .
