Noand in recent days, following an investigation by the Carabinieri of the Barletta Company Command, three people were arrested for theft, receiving stolen goods and money laundering.
The restrictive measure arises from an intense investigative activity conducted by the Carabinieri of Barletta and coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Trani from September 2021 to March 2022 aimed at monitoring and identifying a group of criminals from Andria dedicated to the commission of predatory crimes, in particular theft, receiving stolen goods and recycling of cars committed in the Bat’s territories.
During the investigations, following the interceptions and stalking repeated over time, it emerged that the modus operandi was always the same, that is, the three first identified the cars to be stolen and after having carried out the predatory crime, they transported the loot towards Cerignola using the ruse to change the original plates with other plates already subject to car theft, to finally give them to a fence from Cerignola. The three were taken by the military to the Trani prison to await trial.
