The Spring Festival is back: young farmers are the protagonists – Trento

TRENT. He’s back with a packed program for next weekend Spring festivalwhich has been regularly repeated since 2007, we are in its 17th year.

The event was presented today to the Provincial Breeders’ Federation which is its promoter, by the president James Broch and the director Massimo Gentili. The festival falls at a time when the role of the breeder is being filled, said Broch among other things, as well as for the supply of genuine products for the conservation of the environment and for mountain tourism.

From the two days, the president underlined, “we would like a message of hope to emerge for the sector which can count a good number of young people who have joined the company together with their father”. It is no coincidence that many of the weekend’s events revolve around young people and their professional competence. For those who want it, there is also a horse-drawn carriage ride.

The first edition of the spring festival, on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the Federation, was an immediate success with the presence of many families. We can safely say that the objective of bringing farmers together with the city was perfectly successful, underlined the president. For his part, director Massimo Gentili recalled the importance of the events planned both with the competition for the best cattle and with the horse show.

The program, began Broch, was designed for an audience of all ages. In addition to the usual presence of many breeds of animals, which always attract the curiosity and interest of adults and children, there are exhibitions managed by the Youth group. Breeders, who will compete in grooming competitions for young heifers, the morphological judging competition, the presentation of the cow and horse breeds present, the evaluation of the Noriker and Haflinger horses (Saturday 20th).

Also on Saturday morning, an important Round Table on the theme: “The added value of the mountains and its products”. A conference, moderated by the journalist Walter Nicoletti, which promises to be very interesting as it will range from the role of breeders in the sustainable development of the mountains, obviously including the issue of the safety of breeders and their herds with the presence of large carnivores, a topic covered by the president Giacomo Broch, to the theme of the quality of the milk that comes from the stable treated by a farmer Antonella Zappini, to the delicate aspect of the marketing of typical Trentino products, milk and meat first and foremost which will be addressed from various facets with the reports of Sergio Paoli director of Latte Trento , Mauro Poli, marketing and communication director of the Poli Group, which is the most important partner of the Breeders’ Federation, to the project for the Trentino mountain pastures handled by Elisabetta Nardelli, sector manager of Trentino Marketing, to Danilo Moresco who will bring his testimony of his latest initiative as a restaurateur, the restaurant on the road between Mezzolombardo and Fai della Paganella with only Trentino products. During the two days of the event there will be a refreshment point serving meals based on Trentino products.
