“Stop Euro 1 in Lombardy. Does it also apply to the historic ones?”
Descriptive text here

Dear editor, I am writing to you after reading Mr. Roberto Lain’s letter in the January issue, where he talks about the blocking of circulation of our beloved motorbikes. I have a 2003 Yamaha R6, Euro 1 and, residing in Lombardy, from October this year it will be affected by the traffic block (at least in some areas); I believe my situation will concern a fair number of users who will be penalised, as it will concern all 4-stroke motorbikes built up to 2003. My question (and so far, believe me, I have only had vague and confusing answers) is: If I were to pass it off as a vehicle of historical interest, as it is still perfectly original and in very good condition, could it circulate (excluding the city of Milan which has its own rules) in the areas where circulation will be prohibited from next October? If it were authorized as a historic vehicle, would something be updated in any DMV database so that the vehicle could be recognized as authorized by a possible check (perhaps by electronic eyes or similar)? Can it still be used or, like many others, will I have to resign myself to no longer being able to use it? I close by congratulating you on the magazine that I have been following for almost 30 years and I consider the best in its sector.
