LATINA – There is great excitement in Latina for the Regions of Europe – International Markets event which will bring over 60 international exhibitors to Piazza del Quadrato and Viale Italia. In fact, from 12 to 14 April the international event, which is enjoying great success, will be in the city for the highly anticipated fifth stage of 2024.

“We thank the Mayor Matilde Celentano and the entire Administration who strongly wanted Latina to host a stage of the national tour. For us it is a pleasure to hold events in central Italy because we know that the event is particularly appreciated. It is always an extra effort required of operators arriving from Northern Europe traveling thousands of kilometers but we believe that Latina will be one of the stops with the most presences of all of 2024″. These are the words of Giacomo Errico, president of Apeca and Fiva Confcommercio Nazionale.

To understand what it is about, you have to imagine that there will be delegations, among many, from Spain, Scotland, Austria, France, Holland, Greece, Germany, Argentina, Brazil but also typical food and artisan products from Sicily, Puglia, Abruzzo, Calabria , Liguria and other regions. Street food, quality food, will be the protagonist but alongside craftsmanship. From Spanish paella to Greek pyta, from Abruzzo kebabs to Argentine asado, from Ligurian focaccia to Dutch mini crepes, from the sweet tits of Apulian nuns to Brazilian picanha, from Apulian bombette to truffle creams, from Sicilian specialties to Scottish beers, but also from spices from all over the world to elite costume jewellery.

“Mercati Internazionali – explains Errico – was born from the idea of bringing to the squares of the main cities of Italy, a market formula that recalls the historic annual fairs of many years ago, highly anticipated because they brought products to the city that were not easily available during the year. Today, with globalization, commercial boundaries have changed considerably but there is the possibility, through a long process of evaluation and selection, of still bringing so-called novelties or excellences that are attractive to visitors. This is the basis of our project, because our attention is towards the end customer who must consider Regions of Europe – International Markets as a full immersion in the culture and tastes of other distant places”.

“Proud to host this extraordinary event” comments Valter Papetti, president of Fiva Lazio. “There will be three days – continues Papetti – in which Latina will be literally invaded by visitors and certainly the presence of over 60 exhibitors in Piazza del Quadrato and Viale Italia will also be a healthy touch for the accommodation facilities of the area and beyond”. Roberto Delle Fontane, president of Fiva Latina, also wanted to underline how “the presence of international exhibitors brings prestige to our association and the city. We are sure that the Latina stage will become one of the most important of the entire annual circuit in the future.”
