Florence, 29 March 2024 – The break dedicated to the national teams has been archived, the Serie A football is ready to start again with the 30th roundin which the postponement stands out, scheduled for 8.45pm (match live on DAZN and Sky Sport) at the Artemio Franchi in Florence, between hosts Fiorentina and Stefano Pioli’s AC Milan, former evening player. A match of the highest moral significance for the Tuscans, in their first home outing after the tragic e sudden passing of Viola general manager Joe Baroneremembered with emotion by mister Vincenzo Italiano in the press conference: “They were particular days and difficult moments but we know, also knowing what Joe’s way of being was, that we must start again immediately, honoring him as best we can and putting into play what were his characteristics, his passion, his ‘love and attachment for these colors. The couple in the middle should instead be composed of Arthur and Mandragora, while Nico Gonzalez should regain his place from the 1st minute in the trio formed with Beltran and Sottil supporting striker Belotti.
Pioli’s choices
A thought for Joe Barone also came from the Milan coach Mister Stefano Pioli, ex of the evening: “Unfortunately Fiorentina has already experienced situations of this type, but Florence and the Viola fans are fantastic in uniting in moments of maximum difficulty. I will expect a very particular environment and the match will be very difficult.” On the match: I expect Fiorentina to be very aggressive and capable of attacking with many players. We would like to do all this too but a lot will depend on the quality of the plays. Now the decisive period of the season begins. Everything will depend on the last races and we will have to try to raise the level of our performances.” Kjaer and the suspended Theo Hernandez will be missing from the roll call: “Kjaer returned from the national team with a muscle strain and as a precaution he will be rested tomorrow. Theo’s absence will change our characteristics but certainly not our approach.” The Rossoneri will also be lined up with a 4-2-3-1 that mirrors that of the Viola: between the posts there will be Maignan, who will have in front of him the four-man line made up of captain Calabria, Thiaw, Tomori and Florenzi, deployed on the left in place of Theo Hernandez. In front of the defense there should be the tandem formed by Reijnders and Bennacer, who has gotten over the ailments that forced him to do personalized training in the last few days. No surprises, however, in the attacking phase, where the trio of Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek and Leao will support striker Giroud.
