Electronic bracelet for men. The investigations of the Avellino Prosecutor’s Office
The Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Avellino have implemented an order applying the precautionary measure of the ban on approaching the offended party with electronic bracelet issued towards a forty-two years oldoriginally from the capital, considered seriously suspected – at the state of the investigations – of the crime of persecutory acts.
The provision was ordered by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations of the Court of Avellino at the request of this Public Prosecutor’s Office, which coordinated the investigations
conducted by the Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit of the Provincial Command of Avelino. The investigations made it possible to reconstruct a serious piece of evidence against him
of the suspect, linked to the offended party by a romantic relationship that lasted about a year and ended in April 2022.
In particular, following the interruption of the relationship with the woman, the man began to forward her messages, anonymous rings, video calls, even using different telephone numbers, continually asking her for meetings in person.
The suspect allegedly set up repeated stakeouts with the aim of following the victim during his movements, sometimes seeking contact to intimidate him and, on some occasions, threatening to disfigure her by throwing acid in her face if had decided to report it to the authorities.
Such behaviors were deemed suitable to cause the victim a state of anxiety and fear capable of forcing him to avoid leaving the house and associating with other people, to deprive himself of the wi-fi line serving his home and to replace his car with another one.
